Purple LaFerrari Is the Hypercar of a Prince. Literally

This happens to be the first example of Maranello's halo car that has landed in Malaysia and that's no coincidence. The hypercar is owned by Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, a prince who comes from the Johor region's royal family.

TMJ, as the crown prince is known in his country, happens to be the president of the Johor Football Association, with the Ferrari catering to this transportation needs.

You'll be able to get a better look at this LaFerrari in the footage below. The clip also includes a Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe, which is said to belong to the prince's brother.

In case this LaF seems familiar, it's probably because we talked about its Purple ways last year, when the machine was spotted completing its final testing around the Prancing Horse factory.

While we have no official confirmation of this being the same car, the chances of two LaF owners going for a Purple color scheme that also involves Gloss Black for the roof and wheels are pretty slim. Then there's the delivery timeframe, which seems just right.

Despite the LaFerrari's anything-but-conservative lines, the hue seen here still manages to make quite a difference compared to more conservative approaches such as the one we've seen on Nick Mason's example, for instance (we talked about Pink Floyd's drummer earlier this week).

And since we're talking Ferrari hybrid colors, we can't help but mention Jamiroquai front man Jay Kay's Green LaFerrari as another serious threat to the Rosso Corsa tradition many owners continue to follow.
