So, you're not ready yet for the full monster sound and performance and looks of the new Mercedes-AMG C63? No biggie, that's what AMG accessories were made for.
The range currently includes five exterior add-on parts plus a set of side strips attached as foiling below the dropping line of the vehicle.
So, long story short, Mercedes-AMG is offering a front splitter (€560 or $615), side-sill extensions (€790 or $868), a tear-off edge (€350, or $384) along with a diffuser-look rear apron trim (€560 or $615) and additional rear flics (€220 or $241). Also, the sports strip pack is worth €200 or roughly $220, at current exchange rates and all prices include the German VAT of 19%.
The set might arrive in the US as well, but it could wear different price tags than the conversions at current exchanges rates you see above.
However, there's a catch. The pack of eye-candy parts works only with the C450 AMG Sport 4MATIC and the AMG Line models.
Also, only sedan versions can benefit from this soft AMG treatment, but Mercedes says wagons will receive the same therapy somewhere towards the end of the year.
If you're interested in the technology behind those parts, here's some info for you: they're produced using thermoforming technology and come in high-gloss black. Also, they're easy to install. For example, only one and a half hour is required for a Mercedes-Benz dealer to assemble the AMG front splitter, AMG rear apron trim, AMG side sill set and the AMG Additional rear flics.
