Russian winters need no presentation, which means that drivers in the country are always ready to tackle the snow and ice, right? Wrong. You’d expect that public transport vehicles in Russia have turned winter tires into a religion, but this is far from true.
The proof lies in the adjacent clip (via Youtube user Porteem), which brings us a bus ride that would be considered outrageous in many parts of the world.
A VW LT public transport vehicle is being filmed with a dash camera, with the clip bringing us a lot of sideways action. Even though the driving speed doesn’t exceed walking speed by too much, the vehicle keeps sliding to the sides, with the driver making efforts to keep it in a straight line.
During the beginning of the clip, we can even see the vehicle sliding dangerously close to a pedestrian, but the driver manages to save it in the last moment. We’re really curious to find out how the passengers felt during this slow, but sideways ride - A dozen tickets please !
