The Fiat 500 is definitely a phenomenon, and one which seems to be appreciated by both US and European customers, despite the substantial discrepancy in car cultures. Now that Fiat has a 500C and a 500L, it seems like they will be adding another letter into the mix - ‘E’.
The Fiat 500E is an all-electric variant of the regular 500, which gets its internal combustion engine swapped for an electric drivetrain and lots of batteries. According to autoedizione.com, the 500E has been in the works for some three years, and it has enjoyed a lot of appreciation from everybody who gets behind the wheel.

It will be powered by a 100 hp electric motor, but so far, the capacity of the battery pack has yet to be revealed, which, along with the more aerodynamic bodywork (new, more efficient-looking front and rear bumpers, designed to minimize drag, while also cooling the batteries at the same time).

The car will be shown to the American public in January, with California being its hottest selling location. No word on it becoming available in Europe, though.
