Back in 2021, Mangusta announced the launch of its first Oceano 50 yacht, christened Alisa, in the Navicelli area, in Pisa. Now, it was Project Verona’s turn to take to the water at Overmarine Group’s shipyard in Pisa, with this second hull being built for a Florida-based customer.

Oceano 50 yachts have received great feedback globally, with Alisa recently winning the “Displacement Motor Yachts 499 GT and Below 45 and Above” category at this year’s World Superyacht Awards in London.

Mangusta introduced Oceano in 2016 when it presented its first tri-deck yacht in the line. The shipbuilder described the Oceano line as “displacement vessels with great range, which allow you to travel the world in style to any destination and across any distance”.

Back to the Oceano 50, this is a 499 GT vessel with a beam of 9 m (29 ft), a steel hull, and an aluminum superstructure.

Project Verona packs two MTU 12V 2000 M86/1700 hp engines and can cruise at a speed of 11 knots (12.6 mph/20 kph). However, it can hit a top speed of 16 knots (18.4 mph/almost 30 kph). At cruising speed, the yacht offers a range of 4500 nautical miles.

The Oceano 50 line is all about providing guests with the highest level of comfort during their cruises, which is why it is designed to offer generous exterior and interior spaces. Project Verona is flooded with natural light thanks to the large floor-to-ceiling windows and some of them open to create a seamless continuity between the indoor and outdoor areas of the yacht.

There’s an impressive beach club on the lower deck with three terraces at water level, a large infinity pool on the main deck, and another pool on the sun deck.

The owner of Project Verona went with a six-cabin configuration. One of them is the master stateroom, located on the main deck, which has a beautiful, fully automated balcony overlooking the sea. Then there’s a full-beam VIP cabin and four other guest cabins on the lower deck. The furniture and furnishings have been designed by Alberto Mancini.

Mangusta stated that it has more hulls in the Oceano 50 currently under construction at the Pisa shipyard. The next one is scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2026. You can take a look at Alisa cruising in style in the video below.
