While we haven’t yet gotten to see the DC100 Concept that’s coming our way via the Frankfurt Motor Show next week, Project Kahn must have been so excited about this latest development in the automotive industry that they took to image edition for the official photos released by the manufacturer.
While we can’t wrap our heads around the idea of somebody like Project Kahn ever deciding to do rendering of a car they can’t actually get, the end result is so stunning that we don’t really mind the idea of a tuner turning into a renderer.

They’ve pulled off a variety of different configurations for the future Defender, mostly utilitarian, with beds and extra bits of off-roading kit, but also aimed at having fun, at the beach for instance. This project raises one very serious subject though - this might be the first Defender that a lot of younger people are going to want to buy.

In case you were wondering, the new Defender is a bit far from actually entering production as Land Rover confirmed that production of the new model is intended for 2015. “Replacing the iconic Defender is one of the biggest challenges in the automotive design world; it is a car that inspires people worldwide. This isn't a production-ready concept but the beginning of a four-year journey to design a relevant Defender for the 21st century," commented on the design Land Rover's design boss, Gerry McGovern.
