Production Suzuki S-Cross Coming to Geneva

Remember Suzuki, the struggling small Japanese company that announced it was withdrawing from the US market last year? Well now they're trying to get back into action with a brand new car aimed primarily at the European market.

This is the Suzuki crossover that we've all been waiting for. Following the relatively successful SX4, the Japanese brand is moving a little bit upmarket with the all-new C-Segment crossover, a production version of the S-Cross that was shown last year in Paris.

Technically speaking, Suzuki is right in telling us that it's a brand new vehicle, not a direct replacement for the SX4. Their partnership with Fiat has ended, and they built and developed this slightly bigger crossover on their own, hopefully with a decent small diesel engine.

If you want a Suzuki that can handle the rough stuff and is relatively compact, there's always the aging Grand Vitara model. So we're guessing this crossover will be aimed more at posh city drivers.

Either way, we'll have the full scoop on this exciting new crossover when it makes its debut in Geneva at 1:30 pm, on 5th March 2013 at Stand 4251, in Hall 4 or the Swiss motor show.
