We barely had time to break the spell the new BMW i3 cast upon us at its official unveiling, and we’re back to report more great news from our favorite automaker, who announced that the i8 will be showcased in production form at the Frankfurt Auto Show next month.
The highly-anticipated i8 Coupe plug-in hybrid, which we spotted testing several times since April, will finally arrive as a production car at the IAA, where other BMW Group vehicles, including the i3, will be shown as well.
Besides the company’s first green production cars, visitors will be able to have a closer look at the 4-Series Coupe, the new X5 and the Concept Active Tourer Outdoor, which previews BMW’s upcoming front-wheel drive MPV.
While MINI has decided to introduce the 2014 Cooper at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Rolls-Royce will still show up in Frankfurt to display the Celestial Phantom and a bespoke Wraith Coupe.
