The 2014 BMW i3 was supposed to be next week’s big news, with the German company’s first production EV scheduled to be unveiled on Monday, July 29. Well, as it usually happens, a batch of leaked photos have surfaced onto the web before the automaker had the chance to make a move.
We’re not going to deny it, we were expecting the BMW i3 to leak in some way this week, and we’re pretty glad we have a chance to see the vehicle without its camouflage. Sure, it’s not that we didn’t know what to expect, but the interior is really a great surprise. It’s totally innovative, just like the Germans promised, and it does seem very eco-friendly. Toyota, are you reading this?
Truth be told, we’re very anxious to find out more details about the i3, but this means we’ll have to wait for BMW’s press release. So be sure to stick around for more info and also check out our BMW Blog for extensive coverage of the new EV.
As reported earlier this month, the i3 will start at $41,350 in the US, before incentives, and €34,950 in Germany.
