We’ve seen the new BMW F80 M3 in the flesh quite a lot lately but all cars were still wearing the traditional “Werkstestwagen” sticker on them, meaning that they were still driven for tests only and not in the final form, just yet.
This time around, this Yas Marina Blue was missing the aforementioned sticker meaning that the testing phase is officially over, at least for this particular car.

Dressed in the beautiful new color that was exclusively designed for it, inspired by the Yas Marina Circuit track in Abu Dhabi, famous for the Formula 1 races it hosts every year.

While the original spotter rushed to think that this car was probably the first one delivered to a customer, we’re rather reluctant and, judging by the license plates, think that it might actually be one of BMW’s own to be used in the first test drives around the world.

Hopefully, we’ll also get to test the new M3 that is set to bring back the iconic feeling and driving experience of the cars that made the blue and white roundel famous around the world.

Fitted with a new 6-cylinder inline 3-liter twin turbo engine, the new M3 and M4 are also going back to their roots, with the new architecture. Add in the reduced weight, revised steering, immense torque figure (550 Nm) and rear-wheel-drive and we’re bound to get some interesting ‘feels’ from the duo.
