With the C7 incarnation of the Chevrolet Corvette now approaching its retirement, the lineup is rich, as one can grab the machine in four main flavors, namely the Stingray, the Grand Sport, the Z06 and, of course, the all-mighty ZR1. However, there are aficionados out there who prefer the base model, albeit with a bit of added spice.
That's right, we're talking about extremely tuned C7s and we're here to show you the most efficient one in terms of putting its muscle to the asphalt.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Chevy we have here recently managed to break multiple world records and it was all thanks to a monstrous quarter-mile run.

The slab of America managed to play the 1,320feet game in 7.55 seconds, with a trap speed of 184 mph. The shenanigan took place at the Houston Raceway and you can check it out in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, hefty burnouts and all.

Now, as for the said accolades, this Corvette is now the quickest (think: elapsed time) and fastest (trap speed) C7, but also the first to break into the 7s arena, as well as the fastest Gen 5 LT-animated vehicle.

As you'll get to notice in the video, the missile didn't take all that long to deliver the desired performance.

When it comes to the mods that helped it achieve the said numbers, the main ingredients involve a Procharger, which is basically a belt-driven turbo, along with a nitrous setup.

Then there's the decibel side of the adventure, with the Corvette putting on a monstrous aural spectacle - make sure to turn up the volume.

When such projects are being brought to life, the crews behind them (this build comes from Late Model Racecraft) don't usually rest on their laurels. And this is why we're expecting this Corvette to deliver even spicier numbers in the future.
