Maybe it's not the best paint job in the world, you might have an arguement there, but it is definitely the most exclusive. This is a one of a kind MINI Countryman.

That is not due to a curious engine modification or to extreme tuning, or a limited edition made by the BMW owned company. It's due to the skilled work of 2 not-"urban artists" (they get mad if you call them that, for some unknown reason) named Lukas and Ludschi, that together form Lu&Lu.

They were asked by MINI to create a special design Countryman as a tribute to the Laax Mountain Resort in Switzerland, the place where the Burton European Open takes place every year.

The beauty of the mountain was all-inspiring as was an older creation of theirs too. The folklore of the region was combined with the racing DNA of the MINI. You might wonder who is the man painted on the bonnet. He represents a local legend. The old man with flowing white beard and sparkling eyes represents the personification of the wise and rugged alpine soul. He is both the spokesman and the guardian of the high altitudes at which skiers compete every year.

The car took 42 hours to finish but it was worth it. In the end, the Japanese style cover-up looks amazing and the number of details simply takes your breath away. Being so passionate about the mountains, skiing and everything slope-related, we finally found out why they don't like to be called "urban artists". It's because they call themselves ''alpine artists'' and with this kind of a masterpiece (inspired and created on a mountain peak) who can disagree?
