The Porsche 911 is an iconic car that has kept its original shape introduced back in the 60s, with each new generation of the vehicle only bringing new exterior details.
This is why the aesthetic gap between the 911 generations is small. One of the effects of this is the fact that tuners can easily play with the vehicle, offering conversion kits that offer one generation the appearance after another.
Case in point with the Prior Design’s latest conversion kit. The package offers the 996 Porsche 911 (previous incarnation of the car) the looks of the current 997 911. In addition to that, it also modifies the car’s stock appearance, as it is based on a previous modification package of the tuner, which was introduced at the 2009 Essen Motor Show.
The front fascia has been restyled, including more generous air intakes. The front bumper has received an additional lower part, as well as lateral air intakes. The side skirts have been replaced with a new set that features a bold design and brings air intakes that are placed behind the rear wheels. The rear bumper uses a new design, incorporating multiple air vents: it comes with side air vents and upper air-vents. The bumper also includes a diffuser and houses a set of quadruple tailpipes. These use an overlapping circle design.
The kit also includes a lowering suspension that brings the 911 30 mm closer to the ground, improving the vehicle’s looks and dynamics. The car rides on generously-sized lightweight alloy rims that use a two-tone finish.
