Because the British media loves nothing more than to speculate on the possible date for a new expansion to the Royal family, word online is that Harry is selling his car to buy one that would better suit a family man. Read: he and the Duchess are making baby plans. A more family-friendly set of wheels is in order.
All speculation aside, the older car is listed on Auto Trader by car dealership Overton Prestige, which hopes to sell it for £71,900 (approximately $94,000). For this kind of money, you get a 5-seater with bells and whistles suited for royalty.
This includes heated front and rear seats, panoramic sunroof, and a top speed restriction increase of 174mph. Knowing that this was the car that Harry drove before settling down with U.S. actress Meghan Markle and with which he drove her to Pippa Middleton’s wedding reception last year obviously adds to the price tag.
“This is a smashing car perfectly suited to any aspiring royal,” Auto Trader’s editorial director Erin Baker says. “The Audi RS6 Avant is one of the fastest estate cars on the market doing 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds, and it has a roaring exhaust to excite any petrolhead. The car boasts a 17 reg and low mileage, so it begs the questions why is the Prince selling so soon? Maybe he’s on the market for a bigger family car.”
