Prices Go Up for 2012 Chevrolet Corvette

While the American auto brand hasn’t made an official statement regarding pricing for the 2012 Corvette range yet, the North American Chevrolet dealers have started receiving this information. As expected after we saw all the improvements the Corvette got for next year, pricing are on a rise.

The 2012 Corvette thus has higher price tags, ranging from $505 to $1,250, depending on the model you are interested in.

For example, pricing for the entry-level Corvette Coupe rises from $49,995 to $50,500 (all prices include shipping, which rises by $25 to $975), while the Corvette Convertible goes from $54,995 up to $55,500.

Next, the Corvette Grand Sport Coupe jumps from $55,995 to $56,900, while the Corvette Grand Sport Convertible rises from $59,995 to $60,500. Also, while the Corvette Z06 hardtop goes from $75,325 to $76,500, the range-topping Corvette ZR1 is now up from $111,250 to $112,500.

Pricing for the 2012 Corvette options are also going up: the Z06 Ultimate Performance package ($7,500), the Centennial Special Edition ($4,950), the Z06 Carbon Fiber package ($3,995) and Z06 Magnetic Selective Ride Control ($2,495). The ZR1 Performance package is priced at $1,495 and the Grand Sport Heritage package, $1,195. Chrome aluminum wheels are $1,995 on the Z06 and Grand Sport, $2,000 on the ZR1 and $1,850 on the standard coupe and convertible.

The Chevrolet Corvette Centennial Special Edition will cost you an additional $4,950 and can be had on any Corvette model.

However, it’s not all bad news for customers interested in purchasing a 2012 Corvette, as there is a model in the line-up getting a price drop. We are talking about the ZR1, which is down $75 to $112,500, including the $975 shipping charge.
