Whenever somebody mentions bonnet vents on a British car, we think of the Aston Martin DBS or the V12 Vantage. But today, we can show you a quick preview from a Japanese tuning project that aims to add vents to a classic Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit.
You guys are looking at the massive bonnet of one of the most iconic cars of the 1980s and early 90s. Back then, rappers weren't as common or rich, so tuned Rolls-Royce saloons were virtually non-existent.

We're not 100% sure what specific model this is, but it doesn't really matter all that much. All Silver Spirit/Spur saloons had a 6.75-liter V8 matched to either a 3- or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The most distinctive feature was of course the famous pantheon grille, built entirely by hand using a combination of skill and what at the time seemed like witchcraft.

This particular Rolls just happens to "live" in Japan, where the owner was brave enough to give it to Office-K for some absurdly cool mods. After removing the hood, the Tokyo tuners sanded it down, removed the chrome trim that goes down the middle and added four huge air vents.

Normally, air vents are added to cars that spend a lot of time on the track and need extra cooling for the engine. But the Rolls doesn't belong there, so it's just for show. One major problem we foresee is that water will flow from all over that big bonnet into the engine bay, rusting bits like the hydraulic pump or crippling the alternator motor.

But this is Japan, the land of Bosozoku, kei cars and… tentacles, so a Rolls-Royce with attitude fits right in.
