Here's a very nifty tip from Onno Wieringa, dedicated to all those who fancy real vintage motorcycle helmets: the all new 2013 retro helmets from Premier.
Two new models are available, and one of them is especially nice, with its dual visors. It sports a casual, half-face, hinged clear visor which can be rotated and thus raised above the head for more wind in the rider's (or passenger's face).
This helmets also comes with an integrated tinted visor which slides inside the helmet when not needed and becomes completely invisible.
The lightweight version ditches the hinged visor and retains only the sliding one. The Vintage helmets come with a shell made from carbon and Dyneema fiber, both mixed with kevlar into a light and extremely durable composite.
These lids also boast removable and washable liners, and a quick-release ratchet chin strap. Since there will certainly also be guys who want these helmets, Premier will be offering 2XL and 3XL sizes, too, in matte black only. Base price is €199 ($259), and the dual-visor retails for €249 ($325).
