Now that most of the... normal special versions of the new 991-generation Porsche 911 have landed, the Germans are starting to play their special-special games on us. It seems that their next move will be the release of a new 911 Speedster.
The 991 Porsche 911 Speedster is expected to be born in early 2015 and the car will be a tribute paid to the iconic 550 Spyder.

To resemble the classic, the new 911 Speedster will reportedly feature a chopped windshield, shaved door handles. However, the story gets really bespoke when we reach the roof.

It seems that the 911 Speedster will feature a manual soft top, which can be pulled from under a carbon fiber cover in case the weather gets nasty.

Oh and by the way, the model you see pictured above is the replaced 997.2-generation 911 Speedster.
