This is a Porsche scoop that you definitely need to take with a grain of salt, a really big one at that! Let’s start with the information that we do already know from previous reports - Volkswagen Group or more specifically Porsche is working on a modular platform that will underpin the company’s next Panamera as well as a bunch of other rear-drive models.
What other rear-drive models, VW hasn't really got any of its own? Well, believe it or not, it’s also destined to go in the Bentleys and possibly the Laborghini Estoque should they ever get round to producing it.

But a new report has from Automobilemag has surfaced, and the MSB platform is again at the center. Apparently, Porsche is also making a four-door coupe with rear-wheel drive that will be called the 960. Other than the old-school designation, it’s also got an internal name - “Fefi” for Ferrari fighter. That makes little to no sense, since Ferrari has not started work on a four-door yet, though it’s long been rumored.

Apparently, he 960 will act as a performance benchmark, a sort of 911 GT2 with practicality, as power will come from a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine with 600 hp. It will sit above the Panamera in the range like a sort of flagship when it arrives in 2015.
