Porsche has just issued a statement telling 2014 911 GT3 owners to park their cars until the company can check them out for engine problems. The German company is asking the owners to let them pick up their brand new sportscars and take them to a Porsche Center immediately, where they will be inspected.

Almost a week ago, reports of five Porsche 911 GT3s catching fire grabbed headlines across the automotive world. As graphic as the image of a GT3 in flame was, without official word the alleged five damaged cars engulfed in flames remained speculation. However, the German automaker has admitted that at least two of the 785 GT3 have indeed been damed, both of them in Europe.

So far, there have been no accidents due to the problem, but the bad news is a solution to the problem has not yet been found.

The cause of the fire is rumored to be an oil leak, but with these high-strung engines, there's are a number of things that could go wrong.
