As the introduction of the Porsche Taycan approaches, we get to zoom in on the production version of the Mission E Concept further and further. For now, we'll take you inside the electric machine, with the cabin of a prototype having been recently caught on camera.
Sure, most of the test car's cabin is still covered and features provisional elements, but there's one detail that stands out, namely the digital dashboard of the vehicle - images via Facebook users Jim Roger Johansen‎ and Michael McDonald.

So while the 992 Neunelfer, which is also getting ready for its debut, has been spied using an analog central tach flanked by a pair of screens, things are all digital with the Taycan.

We should also note that the steering wheel found on this prototype doesn't pack the Sport Response knob, which allows the driver to control the various driving modes of the car.

The Taycan, which is set to be smaller than the Panamera, will pack one electric motor per axle, with the overall output of the vehicle sitting at over 600 hp.

As Porsche has let it slip, the electron juice sipper will cover the 0 to 62 mph sprint in under 3.5 seconds.

It's worth noting that the machine will pack an 800-volt architecture, which will make tech wonders for the recharging time of the vehicle. For instance, a brief 62-mile boost will be achieved in just four minutes. And Zuffenhausen is currently developing an 800V charging infrastructure, albeit with the company announcing that the costs of using it will be similar to those you'd get at the gas station.

Of course, there are other Taycan prototypes out there and we've recently shown you a Nurburgring assault involving the EV. As you can notice in the piece of footage documenting the Green Hell testing, the engineers behind the wheel aren't cutting the machine any slack.
