This year highlighted the electric effort made by premium German automakers and it's no secret that the Porsche badge is ready to deliver the crown of the movement. We are, of course, talking about the Taycan.
Zuffenhausen is expected to launch its first electric vehicle next year, with this coming in the form of the five-door Taycan. The Panamera-like EV, which is somewhat similar to the Porsche Panamera, will make for an entire family, as is the norm with the Porsche lineup.

In fact, spyshots have already shown us that Porsche is also testing the Taycan Sport Turismo, with this set to cater to the family Porschephile's needs.

And we'll remind you that the company has already showcased the Mission E Cross Turismo, a concept car that came in the form of a jacked-up proposal. Nevertheless, there have been no statements on a production version of the crossbreed.

With Porsche being Porsche, it's obvious that the automaker will also need an electric sportscar. And while a 911 EV is one of the first things that come to mind, the company has made it clear that it's too early for the complete electrification of the Neunelfer. And that's because the current battery technology wouldn't allow the resulting machine to perform at the desired level.

For now, Porsche will stick to hybridizing the Neunelfer. In fact, the company has confirmed that the almost-here 992 911 will receive at least one gas-electric model.

However, the world wide web simply can't leave such matters alone. And this is how we end up with renderings such as the one we have here.

Rain Prisk, the pixel wielder behind this image, brought together styling cues coming from the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, such as the posterior and the bucket seats, as well as Mission E hints like the headlights. Nevertheless, some aficionados might have the impression they can spot Mclaren design bits, especially when talking about the nose of the car.
