Porsche Taxi Cab Rules the Streets of Thailand

This might come as a shock to many Porsche enthusiasts as many of them treat their Porsches as if they were made out of porcelain. In fact, many of the high-end models haven’t even seen the other side of the garage door. That is why we are pretty sure this might come a bit tough for the Porsche enthusiasts out there...

The car that we are referring to is a $202,000 Porsche Boxster which has been turned into nothing other than a Yellow Cab. While the New Yorkers get ready to embrace their boxy taxis like the Ford Transit Connect and Nissan NV2000, people in Thailand are introduced to a more special Taxi.

The unique Porsche cab caught instant attention as it raced along the roads of Thailand and ferried many people across the city, turning a dream to reality for most of them.

The saying “follow that cab” doesn’t apply anymore. There is still one question left unanswered. Who has the kind and giving soul to buy a Porsche Boxster and turning it into a Taxi? Well, apparently no one in particular. The cab is basically a marketing strategy by Samsung for its latest phone Galaxy S II smartphone, as related by automotto.com

The advertising company's campaiggn wasa true success and it couldn’t been otherwise giving not every day we get the chance to take a Porsche Taxi. This is not the first time a company uses this strategy. In fact, there is a well known fact that a Norvegian cell phone operator had done something similar in the past with a Mitsubishi EVO 9.
