Porsche Showdown on the Dragstrip: 911 Turbo Takes on 911 Turbo S

If one were to pit a stock Porsche 911 Turbo against its more powerful brother, the 911 Turbo S, the result would be obvious. In the same configuration, the S version would win 9 runs out of 10 while the remaining run would probably be won by the Turbo model because of a possible driver error.
However, when somebody comes along and tunes both of them to deliver the same output, what could possibly be the result? When fitted with the PDK gearbox, the outcome would be rather impossible to predict.

And yet, this is what we’re doing here, inviting you, to have a say in which of the two cars will win a straight up drag race. Both of them use a 3.8-liter twin-turbo mill that is set up to deliver different outputs. The 911 Turbo has 520 HP and 660 Nm (486 lb-ft) of torque while his more powerful brother produces 560 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.

Both of them come with the ultra-fast 7-speed PDK gearbox and all wheel drive and can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 and 3.1 seconds respectively. Remember, those are the stock figures.

What we have in the video below though is a Porsche 911 Turbo tuned by PP-Performance to deliver 650 HP along with a Porsche 911 Turbo S tuned by Altechno that has the exact same horsepower output.

What will happen when they go toe to toe? It’s a more than interesting comparison of the tuning kits installed on each car. Check it out!
