When you say Porsche, you think about luxury, so sales volume isn’t exactly on the table, but it seems that the Germans are enjoying the fruits of their work - Porsche’s 2013 sales numbers are in, with the company managing to push 162,000 units, a record value.
The aforementioned figure can be translated into a 15 percent increase compared to the previous year. As for the spread across the continents, the US keeps its 1st spot in Porsche’s rankings. The carmaker sold 42,323 units in America, a 20.8 percent boost.
A similar growth (20 percent) was registered in China, which saw Porsche delivering 37,425 units. As for its home market, Porsche managed to sell 20,638 vehicles in Germany.
The Cayenne has kept its sales crown, with 84,000 units being sold last year. As for the 911, this managed to convince about 30,000 customers for its 50th anniversary year. Porsche also did when it came to its mid-engined sports cars, with the new Boxster and Cayman registering a 117.4 percent sales jump to 25,500.
While 2014 will bring even more versions of the 911 to the market, it’s the Macan that’s expected to cause quite a Porsche sales event.
