If you can afford to pay €645,000 for the Porsche 918 Spyder, while also waiting a couple of years until it is delivered, than you can probably afford about €180,000 in order to get your own 911 in the same bright livery as the hybrid supercar. At least that’s what we believe that the German company’s exec were thinking when they announced the 911 Turbo S “Edition 918 Spyder”.

To make they wait for their beloved performance tree-hugger a little more bearable, Porsche is offering customers that buy the 918 Spyder the exclusive chase to buy this very special limited edition version of the 911. As you would expect, production of the special edition 911s is limited to 918 units worldwide.

The car is takes its good looks from the 918 Spyder and will be base on the Turbo S, in both coupe and convertible forms. This means that its is still powered by a 530 hp flat-six engine that delivers its power through an all-wheel drive system.

The special edition gets distinctive acid green features, such as those on the brake calipers, door mirrors and the logo at the back. Inside the car, the color is featured on the instrument cluster needle, bespoke PCM screen, illuminated door entry guards and leatherwork seams plus embroidered logos.

The standard equipment of a ‘regular’ 911 Turbo S is complimented by an improved leather interior, more carbon elements inside and out, plus a special instrumentation version.

The beautiful lady that will sit in your passenger seat will get to see the limited edition badge on the glove compartment lid that bears the same number as that on your 918 Spyder. Will she be able to tell the difference? You tell us!

Deliveries of the car will start in June 2011, just in time for some summer cruising.
