The legendary Porsche 911 turns 50 this year and the German company has put together several events throughout 2013. Besides celebrating its most important vehicle all over the world, Porsche decided to to offer a special edition 911 as well.
Dubbed 911 50 Years Edition, the special coupe is based on the 911 Carrera S that uses a 3.8-liter flat-six engine that delivers 400 HP. Limited to only 1,963 units (the first 911 was launched in 1963), the 50 Years Edition features an exclusive wide body kit and a two-wheel drive chassis.

Other highlights include the Porsche Active Suspension Management tuned for better cornering dynamics, a sports exhaust system, special trims on the front air inlets, and in a strip across the car between the rear lights, and unique Fuchs-inspired 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, the 911 gained “styling touches reminiscent of the original 911”, including green labeling on the instruments, “Pepita” tartan design for the seats and brushed aluminum trimming.

The 911 50 Years Edition can be had in two unique exterior colors: Graphite Grey and Geyser Grey, but customers can also opt for a black paint job. Each of the cars will also come with several “911 50” badges on the body. The vehicle will make its public debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show and will arrive in dealerships in September. In the UK, the 911 50 Years Edition will cost £92,257.
