Porsche Passport Is How You Drive a Sportscar Without Owning One

Ever heard of supercar clubs? You probably have, since these wonderful velocity groups allow aficionados to drive supercars without the downsides of the ownership experience and they've been around for quite a few years. Well, Porsche has now debuted its own effort of this kind, with the program being dubbed Passport.

Sure, playing with the Porsche configurator and then taking delivery of your dream-grade sportscar is sweet, but why choose just one or two models for your garage? The Porsche Passport, which has now been launched in Atlanta in pilot form, is a subscription-based service that allows members to get behind the wheel of various Zuffenhausen machines without having to buy or lease these.

For now, you can choose between two levels, namely Launch and Accelerate. The first comes with a monthly fee of $2,000 and allows one to choose between eight versions of the 718 Boxster, 718 Cayman, Macan and Cayenne.

Pay an extra $1,000 for the Accelerate versions and you'll be able to dip into a 22-model pool. The higher tear mixes the Launch car with their high-performance versions, while also including the magical 911 and the Panamera. We have to mention that both plans require a one-time activation fee of $500.

Chasing your Porscha thrills in this form will obviously lead to higher monthly fees than going for a lease, but the benefits go beyond the polygamy.

That's because the said fees also cover the insurance and taxes, as well as the maintenance. In fact, Porsche will even handle the cleaning and delivery, so all you have to do is install the dedicated app and select the model, location and time.

Mileage or car number limit? There are no such things, so, just like those millennials who want to steer clear of owning a car, this program might determine certain Porschephiles to enjoy the crest without the ownership frame.

P.S.: If you're willing to go all the way with the name of this stunt, you will have to bring your own Porsche Design BlackBerry Passport smartphone.
