Previous spy sessions have confirmed what the typical Porsche timeline had already told us: Zuffenhausen is preparing a mid-cycle revamp for the Panamera. However, while the visual changes are traditionally limited and this has been true for the prototypes spotted to date, it looks like the liftback version of the Panny might get an Aerokit.
You'll need to take a good look at the Porsche Panamera Turbo in the spyshots gallery above to notice the small aero updates.

The test car, which was spotted doing its thing at the Nurburgring, packs a pair of canards on the sides of its nose, while the active wing at the back has been gifted with a gurney flat (last time we saw this on the 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Package).

As the Porschephiles among you have noticed, the increasing appeal of aggressive design and overall thirst for spicier lap times have determined Porsche to up the ante on the aero front. For instance, the 992 Carrera Aerokit rivals the rear wings of past GT3s, while the upcoming 992 GT3 comes with a rear wing that might just feel at home on an RS model.

Then again, the rumor mill talks about the facelifted Panamera range seeing the hatchback and the Sport Turismo being joined by a Coupe and perhaps also a Cabriolet, so it remains to be seen which models will get these aero updates.

Interestingly, our spy photos explained they discussed the prototype with someone involved in the project, stating that the source also mentioned a noticeable power bump to 820 horsepower.

Of course, we are in speculation land here, so this kind of info needs to be taken with a massive grain of salt brake dust.

However, the said output would be more likely to come from an evolution of the 680 hp gas-electric powertrain of the Turbo S E-Hybrid rather than being a step forward from the 550 hp 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 of the Turbo.

Regardless, the mid-cycle revamp of the Panamera is expected to land next year and we should get our hands on fresh details meanwhile.
