Porsche Panamera Turbo S Coming

When you meet a car that is wearing a Porsche badge, you know that you’re in for quite a ride. If it also comes with a “Turbo” badge, then you should really prepare yourself for an extreme experience. However, the German automotive company can add even more spice to this formula.

This is true for vehicles that happen to add an “S” to the aforementioned designation. Porsche’s current range, includes two such raging four-wheeled creations, the 911 Turbo S and the Cayenne Turbo S. Fortunately, it seems that the story is about to get a new chapter, as Teamspeed reports that the Germans are working on a Turbo S incarnation of the Panamera.

The vehicle is expected to be released at the New York or Shanghai Auto Show. We’ll remind you that the Panamera Turbo came to the world at the 2009 edition of the Shanghai Auto Show, so it would make sense for Porsche to use China as the new version’s land of introduction.

In case this is true, your next question will probably be related to the showroom arrival time. Well, the ultra-muscular Panamera is expected to reach showroom floors in late June or early July, so you won’t have to wait to much to be able to acquire one of these blistering fast sedans.

Now, about the “blistering fast” part: it is reported that the power will come from a twin-turbo 4.8-liter V8 unit that will allow the driver to play with 550 hp and a peak torque of 800 Nm (590 lb-ft).
