The Porsche factory in Leipzig today put together the 100,000 unit of the Panamera, a vehicle that entered production back in 2009.
The milestone vehicle is the newest addition to the Panamera range, the S E-Hybrid, being finished in rhodium-silver metallic. The vehicle rolled off the assembly line through a paper wall that had been signed by employees.
“In over 120 countries, Panamera customers drive a Porsche that is ‘Made in Leipzig’ and sport this quality seal around the globe. The team and I are very proud of this,” said Siegfried Bülow, Chairman of the Board of Porsche Leipzig GmbH.
We’ll remind you that the Panamera S E-Hybrid delivers 416 hp of petrol-electric power, promisign to mix a 0 to 62 mph time of 5.5 s and a top speed of (270 km/h) with an European cycle fuel efficiency of 3 l/100 km (mpg).
The new Panamera S E-Hybrid is just a preliminary step in Porsche’s plan to release a hybrid model in each vehicle range.
