Porsche Panamera Promo Video

There is going to be a long, hot summer until September, when we will finally see the Porsche Panamera in dealerships. But until then, the German manufacturer will keep on throwing at us everything it has in order to promote the fourth model of its range.

We can't help from wondering if such a campaign, started with the teaser photos which surfaced in November last year is really good for the car. Sure, we agree that a well-planned ad campaign is the motor driving each success, but it gets rather annoying after some time.

It's just like listening the same song for weeks. You eventually get tired of it and start yawing. That's exactly what we did when watching this clip. The soundtrack is a killer of any will, the Panameras cruise along as if they'd rather not, there's no sign of life around...Until...

Until nothing. The only new thing shown in the video is the active four-way adjustable rear spoiler. OK, that's not actually new but, for the first time, we can see it at work. That happens two minutes and two seconds into the clip, so feel free to skip forward to that point. Trust us, you're not missing anything by that time. Except the scenery, perhaps...

So, the Panamera journey inches forward. Production of the thing started in Leipzig, where Porsche offers you the chance to go within the plant and witness how the new car is being built. If you ever had such a fantasy...

So, until the next video, perhaps one showing how Panamera's lights get turned on and off, we leave you be. Meanwhile, we're switching to the Chrysler story...Even that is more entertaining...
