Porsche Panamera Prices, Trim Levels Detailed

The official Porsche US website has launched the configurator section for all three versions of the Porsche Panamera (S, 4S and Turbo). The configurator, apart from allowing customers to build their own future car, also discloses the starting prices for the Panamera in the US.

The Panamera S has a MSRP price of $89,600, the 4S costs $93,800, while the Turbo version starts at $132,600. The first two versions offer 400 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and a naught to sixty acceleration time of 5.2 seconds. The more powerful Turbo version offers 500 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and it reaches 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. In terms of top speed, the Turbo reaches 188 mph (302 km/hour), while the S and 4S top at 175 mph (281 km/hour).

We took the S for a spin and configured it a bit. This is what came out of it. The S comes in 15 body colors (one standard, five Special and nine Metallic). For the exterior, the configurator gives you the choice of four different rims, priced in between $5,360 and $8,480. If you go for the rims fitted with colored wheel caps, it will cost an extra $185.

The interior comes with a choice of three seat packages, either 8-, 14- or 18-way power-seats, all with memory packages. There are four standard leather colors, two natural leather schemes, three two-tone leather colors and one natural leather two tone. There is a $3,210 difference between the lowest and the top interior trim level.

There is a wide range of options available for the Panamera, but what strikes us the most is the fact that all three versions of the new Porsche come without a rear-whipper. For some unknown reason, the manufacturer made it an option, and now offers it as such, for an extra $350. All of the options, if fitted on the S, will add some $7,980 to the price (about the same price as the low-priced Logan).

We configured our S governed by common sense. The price tag we will have to pay for our S, after fitting some of the features above: $105,590. That's $15,970 higher than the base price. Following the same steps, the 4S can cost $113,890, while the Turbo easily reaches the $147,000 mark. Still lower than the 200,000 euros to be paid for the top notch Panamera in Europe.
