Porsche used the Los Angeles Auto Show today to introduce the new Panamera GTS, the most powerful naturally aspirated version of the four-door coupe. The Panamera GTS is slotted between the S/4S and Turbo models, using the 4S all-wheel-drive model as a base.
Up front, the 4.8-liter V8 has been tweaked to produce an extra 30 hp and 15 lb-ft, with the overall output now sitting at 430 hp and 384 lb-ft. The seven-speed, dual clutch PDK gearbox and the Chrono Package help the Panamera GTS deal with the 0 to 60 mp (96 km/h)in 4.3 seconds and offer a top speed of 178 mph (286 km/h).
Between the car and the road, we find an air suspension that lowers the vehicle by 10mm (using the Normal mode) and a set of 19-inch rims fitted with 255/45 tires on the front and 285/40 rubber on the rear axle.
Porsche has made great eforts to make this car aggressive - for example, it has fitted it with a Sound Symposer that ""picks up the intake vibrations between the throttle valve and the air filter, transmitting them as engine sound via a membrane into the A-pillar".
The GTS can be recognized by its new front fascia that uses more generous air intakes, as well as a high-gloss black exterior pack, while inside we find an Alcantara and leather finish for the sport seats, with the first also being used for the armrest, roofliner, steering wheel and door panels.
