As a somewhat small SUV, the Macan really seems like it doesn’t belong in the Porsche model range. And yet it’s the peculiarity and the unique design that appeals to so many customers, combined with the practicality of a family car. Demand is through the roof and waiting lists can be as long as a year, which means the streets are going to be flooded pretty soon. It’s high time to take a look at another way to customize the vehicle, courtesy of tuning company German Special Customs.
They released the first details and some digitally enhanced images, showing an upcoming widebody kit for the Macan. As you can see, they went for the sportscar look that so few SUVs manage to pull off. Sitting lower on 22-inch wheels, the Porsche reminds us of a hatchback’s proportions now.

At the front, you will notice the Macan’s huge hood has gained a power dome, hidden under the black racing stripe. The front bumper has been lowered and widened quite a bit, designed specifically to account for the stance. This flows into wider arches and an extended set of side skirts.

Around the back, the boot lid spoiler has been extended and is joined by another spoiler nearer the taillights. Useless perhaps, but probably the best touch of the whole project. GSC also introduced a new diffuser and changed the design of the tailpipes. No word on whether the Macan’s engines will be tuned, though considering all are turbocharged, this sounds like a forgone conclusion.
