The new Macan is a vehicle unlike anything Porsche has offered before. It's smaller than the Cayenne, targets younger buyers and comes powered almost exclusively by new V6 engines. Not surprisingly, famed tuners Techart took their sweet time with their project before launching a very impressive catalog.
Let's start with what's under the bonnet, which is what all you power-hungry guys always want to know first. For now, only a kit of the Macan Turbo is available from Techart. It takes the output of the 3.6-liter biturbo engine to 450 hp and 620 Nm of torque (457 lb-ft), which is 50 hp and 70 Nm (52 lb-ft) more than stock.

Techart calls this treatment "Power Kit TA B95/T1" and as a result of ordering it, your Macan will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and on to a de-restricted top speed of 271 km/h. Over time, we expect more packages to be launched, including ones that target the Macan S Diesel.

Complete interior and exterior makeover

The German tuners left no factory screw unturned. The Macan's complete transformation starts with a the aerodynamics department, who revised the of front spoiler, side skirts, roof spoiler and rear diffuser, all the time adding carbon fiber trim. Thankfully, it's not one of those horrible makeovers where SUVs are turned into fake sportscars. Techart just added class and luxury, leaving the Macan looking more expensive.

The look is completed by a variety of wheel choices. Techart lets you choose between Formula I, II, and III light-alloy wheels in 21-inch and 22-inch sizes. Matching or contrasting the body of the Macan, you can order the wheels in silver, gloss black, burnished, bi-color or even order your own design.

The cabin of Porsche's baby-SUV features high-end leather upholstery and neon green accent stitching. This is applied on the custom floor mats and the dials of the speedo, resulting in a sporty trim not unlike a watch strap. Techart also touched the steering wheel, the alloy pedals and illuminated door entry guards.

As usual, you can order many of the components individually or let Techart run wild and do as they please. With hundreds of thousands expected to be sold within the next few years, giving your Macan that custom look might not be such a bad idea.
