Eager to prove the new Porsche Macan is so much more than an Audi Q5 with a different body on, the Germans take us behind the scenes today, with a clip of a test prototype testing at Weissach.
The R&D center there is just one location of a global testing cycle, and Porsche have already shown us this more compact SUV is equally at home in the desert and in the city.

Thanks to recently leaked information, we can more easily identify this particular Macan as being the turbo model, since it hunkers down its suspension, a feature that's standard only on the top model. The "Turbo" badge will also mean 3.6-liter of twin-turbo power, 400 hp, 550 Nm and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 4.8 seconds.

The official debut of the Macan is just days away, as the Los Angeles Auto Show approaches, so stay tuned.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
