Porsche Macan GTS Commercials Are Both Epic and Funny

Porsche has released several promo videos for the Macan GTS, a car it revealed a week ago at the Tokyo Motor Show. It's not a significant model, but you wouldn't know this from the way the footage is shot.
The first one we want to show you has a more emotional impact. The Macan is only shown for a few short moments, the rest of it being glossy footage of mountains, waves, and manmade structures. They emphasize the sense of adventure, which Porsche needs in order to sell an off-roader that will spend most of its time in the city.

Towards the end, the narrator emphasizes the fact that not every car deserves the letters G, T, and S. However, that's not true because every Porsche model except the 918 Spyder has a GTS version.

The second clip is unusually funny for something made by a German automaker. We don't want to spoil the surprise, but it's about pigeon poop.

The Macan GTS is based on the regular S model and takes its twin-turbo V6 engine from 340 to 360 PS and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. That's enough to rocket yourself from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5 seconds flat and to a top speed of 159 mph.

The body looks like a Macan S that's taken up Pilates. Everything is a little bit more toned. Subtly enhanced front and rear bumpers are joined by Satin Black 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels, optional LED headlights (with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus) and blacked-out trim.

The suspension is 15mm shorter to help with cornering, and bigger 360mm front and 330mm rear rotors coupled with red calipers should help shorten the braking distance. The sports exhaust with butterfly valves is standard, but you still need to think about a Sport Chrono pack as an option.

You don't have to get the car in red, but you'd be a fool not to. Inside, the Macan GTS features new sports seats covered in leather and Alcantara and the latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM).
