Porsche Macan Gets Prior Widebody Kit and 22" Vossen Wheels

Comic book fans know that there is more than one way to color a Hulk. Besides the green kind, there's also the red one that's more in control. This tuned Porsche Macan gives off that vibe for several reasons. But before we have a nerdy breakdown, here are some details about the Project.

First of all, the body kit is by Prior Designs, a company that's famous for tuning cars like the CLS-Class or the BMW M6. Their designers like to widen the hips of every car they see, especially if the original proportions are tall or boxy. So you can imagine that they took one look at the Macan and imagined what it would look like as an RS3 impersonator.

The kit is dubbed PD600M and consists of several parts. Making a widebody kit for the Macan is not as easy as you may think. The hood is about the size of a garage door and goes all the way to the wheel wells. They also had to completely redesign the front bumper and create inserts for the rear doors, as is the case with many sporty SUVs.

Made from fiberglass, the Prior PD600M package preserves some of the personality the Macan came out of the factory with. For example, the grille design stays about the same if you ignore the deep black chin spoiler.

Many designers say that the back of the car is the only area they are still allowed to play with. The tuned Macan seems to be the same, as it's got a very busy-looking rump. Four large exhaust pipes may even humiliate a Ferrari while numerous aero effects suggest this car has the downforce of an F1 car (not one from this century).

Completing the design of the Porsche Macan is a new set of Vossen wheels, 22-inch in size, wrapped in Continental SportContact 6 tires. H&R is responsible for the lowered stance, but thanks to air ride technology, it can be lifted by up to 35mm.
