We've told you about the Porsche Boxster/Cayman GTS and the new 911 Targa already. Now, here's what you guys need to know about the next big thing in premium SUVs, the Macan.
Jalopnik has managed to get their hands on info from a dealer presentation, which suggest two different engines are coming to America, maybe more being available in Europe.
The engines in question are almost certainly V6s, one being a 3.0-liter, the other a 3.6-liter. Porsche has such displacements already, but the intriguing thing is both are supposed to be Bi-Turbos.
The 3.0-liter should be about the same as the one in the Panamera S, where it makes 420 hp. This engine is going into the Macan S, while the 3.6-liter Bi-Turbo is going in the Macan Turbo. We can only assume this car has about 480 hp, so as not to upset the Cayenne market.
Both will come with standard 7-speed PDK and go on sale in 2014, with prices from $52,000 for the S and $75,000 for the Turbo. That-s a big mark-up from the Audi Q5 3.0 TFSI, which starts at $44,400.
