Porsche Macan Commercial: Believer

In 1966, The Monkees came out with "I'm a Believer".  In no time at all, it became the number one song on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts due to its catchy lyrics. Fast forward almost half a century into the future and "I'm a Believer" is the theme song for Porsche's brand new SUV, the Macan. It's fitting, really, since this is a brand new face not seen on any other German car, but which has the potential to attract hundreds of thousands of new customers.

Porsche certainly isn't taking things likely with this car commercial. They've assembled every possible cool car they make to convince us the Macan is both a free-spirited SUV and a sportscar. Even the famous 911 collector Magnus Walker is present, arriving like a true rebel in his custom classic.

Revealed last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Macan is designed to be a cheaper and slightly smaller alternative for those looking to buy a Porsche SUV. It's been designed around the Audi Q5 platform and is already available with three engines all V6 units with turbocharging. In the US, there are only two models available, the Macan S from about $50,000 and the Turbo with 400 hp, which starts at $72,300.

Here's what Porsche has to say about it's latest commercial:

Porsche is a company with an unwavering belief system. The one belief that permeates through everything Porsche does is a simple one -- every car should be a sports car. The all new Porsche Macan is our latest expression of what a sports car can be. The visceral, emotional benefits of a true sports car in a form that suits your lifestyle. The only question is, "Are you a Believer?"
