Set to return to the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 2014, Porsche looks overanxious about its first official encounter with the Circuit de la Sartre and keeps releasing promotional videos with benchmarks from the past.
After publishing the 1971 “Race of records” clip, the German manufacturer returned to showcase more of their achievements and technological advances displayed over the years, despite the fact that most of them seemed impossible at first. Starting with designing the first rear-engined car to win a race and moving on to gaining massive track success with turbocharged powerplants, Porsche is not only bragging about its capabilities, but promises to raise the bar even higher.
Unfortunately, we won’t get to see them in the LMP1 class at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, but we can try and quench our thirst, at least for now, with the company’s latest emotional video.
For those of you who don’t know, Porsche is the most successful manufacturer to have raced at Le Mans, gathering no less than 16 wins between 1970 and 1988. We certainly looking forward to 2014!
