Porsche Launches Mesmerizing Video of New 911 Testing in the Arctic

It might seem like we are a little late in bringing you this fantastic video of the 2012 Porsche 911 slipping and sliding on the lovely ice, but that’s not our fault. What happened was that we got so caught up in watching it that we ‘accidentally’ pressed the play button for a total of 100 times, and before you know it a day has passed. The video is simply called “2012 Porsche 911 - Cold Weather Testing”, but we thing it’s much, much more than that. This is pure automotive poetry that only a truly balanced sportscar can pull off. With all that hard work that's put to make this car into production, it definitely deserves its moments of glory, whether in front of a big crowd that’s bound to gather at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show, or before Mother Nature and her chilling Arctic Circle. The scenery is pristine and untouched, but somehow, the black 911 seems at home, even in its camouflaged form. The seventh generation model sounds great, looks refined and a great evolution of the classic shape. There’s no way people aren’t going to love it. With little over three months to go before deliveries start, we’re going to start saving our pennies for the 911 Carrera S, which will cost €102,436. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
