Porsche Exclusive got to play with the 911 Targa and what came out of their creative shop was presented in Amsterdam, at AutoRAI 2015, as anniversary edition celebrating 50 years of Targa.
While not being among the most prominent auto shows planet Earth gets to see every year like the ones in New York, Geneva or Paris, AutoRAI hosted this custom-build Porsche 911 Targa 4S so they must be cool, right?
Compared to the standard 911 Targa, this particular originality exercise ended up in a good fashion, both from a visual and technical points of view. Only 15 will be ever made, so here's your chance of owning a rare 911 Targa 4S.
Let's treat each aspect at a time. On the outside, Porsche Exclusive went for a Gulf Blue exterior paint contrasted by black trims, 20-inch black Fuchs wheels (coming straight from the sold-out Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition) and smoked headlights plus new LED taillights. Since we're looking at a special edition, Porsche Exclusive decided to offer the Sport Chrono Package and Dynamic Chassis Control goodies as standard equipment.
However, sooner or later you'll have to take some more money of your bank account. Yes, you must pay extra for the 30 HP power bump and the ceramic composite brakes but think about it like this: you'll almost own a Targa GTS. The cabin can be fitted with a Burmester surround sound system that will also require some financial investment, in case the original Bose setup is no longer up to the challenge.
Other than that, expect you back to be clutched in leather & Pepita fabric sports seats. Sure, by now you'd like to find out more about the price tag, so here it is: €223,230 ($240,235) for the PDK-equipped model. But if you're into manual gearboxes, that version's sticker is €229,500 ($246,982).
