Just when we thought the 911 R (remember yesterday's R convoy?) had managed to grab all the attention, leaving the GT3 RS out of the spotlights, the PDK bearer is back on stage, thanks to the custom example we have in the image gallery below.
Now, when it comes to Zuffenhausen beasts such as the GT3 RS, "custom" is a notion that needs to be explained. You see, the official color choice for this track-savvy Neunelfer is extremely limited, as it only packs two standard hues, White and GT Silver Metallic, as well as a pair of special colors, namely Ultraviolet Blue and Java Orange - the last was the machine's launch hue.

This basically means the automaker wants GT3 RS buyers to turn to Porsche Exclusive, the company's personalization arm. And many of them do, with the results being as spectacular as the Fashion Grey GT3 RS we have here.

With the front wing air extractors, the ultra-fat wheel arches and that massive wing sitting atop the engine compartment, the GT3 RS pretty much does away with the understated look of the Neunelfer.

Well, it seems hues such as Fashion Grey bring back that aura and we have to admit we spent quite some time contemplating the way in which such a shade transforms the appearance of the 500 naturally aspirated hp circuit animal.

Wearing Monaco plates, the machine was spotted by E.S. Photography, with an Audi RS6 Avant providing a brief comparo in terms of Volkswagen Group shades of Grey (no pun intended, as such cars deliver enough pleasure and pain on their own). For the record, the family man's RS6 seen here is dressed in Nardo Grey.

As you can see in the pic above, it looks like this particular 911 GT3 RS also comes with a bespoke alarm system in the shape of an Old Family Red Nose, even though this might not come from Porsche Exclusive.
