Porsche Driver Misses Every Apex at the Nurburgring, Eaten Alive by Hot Hatches

While we're not sure about this when it comes to alien drivers such as Ayrton Senna, most of us weren't born with driving skills, with these being acquired through years of practice. So, in theory, pointing our finger at a sportscar driver who lands on the Nurburgring without knowing what they're doing isn't the way to go. After all, we all have to start learning somewhere, right?

However, the driver of the Porsche in the video below somehow manages to make a mess out of it all. Not only does the driver miss every single apex on the Nordschleife but the behavior shown here could've led to a crash if it hadn't been for Zuffenhausen's smart electronics saving the day on multiple occasions.

We're dealing with a 981-generation Cayman S, which is one of the most balanced go-fast machines you can buy, so the chassis, not just the electronics, is bringing a strong contribution here.

Once again, the driver's effort to use a mid-engined sportscar as its maker intended is far from an issue, but such dangerous episodes could be easily avoided. For instance, basic do-it-yourself internet documentation, a performance driving instructor or a less punishing track are only a few of the possible solutions.

Returning to the unfortunate 'Ring episode, this kind of driver is the typical prey of Ring Wolves. We're talking about experienced drivers who know the Green Hell like the back of their hands and drive modded hot hatches. These guys can lap the Nurburgring in under 8 minutes and will devour novice sportscar and supercar drivers for the fun of it.

In fact, you can see a small pack of Ring Wolves doing away with the Porsche at the 2:55 point, but we'll end the spoilers here. Even if you don't have the patience to watch the full 9-minute-plus video, you'll certainly find something interesting in the clip below.
