Last week, we brought you news of a very interesting contender on the luxury smartphone market that blends Porsche Design excellence in creating attractive goods with the popularity of RIM’s Blackberry Bold 9900.
The phone was officially unveiled yesterday, October 27, at an event held at Burj Khaleefa in Dubai.
The phone has the touchscreen and fell of the Bold 9900, but it mixes in some premium features like a stainless steel front, including they keypad. The back side is covered with quality black leather, and the whole look of the phone is refined and a bit understated (in a good way).
At the back, you have a 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording capabilities, and the phone has 8MG of internal memory.
As usual with something that has Porsche Design on it, it’s not cheap. The BlackBerry P’9981 will be available in Porsche Design Stores by the end of this year for about $2000 or €1425 at the current exchange rate.
