Porsche Design Eyewear has recently expanded the Sunglasses Collection with the addition of new sizes of the heritage spectacles P'8478, sporty high-tech sunglasses, and a new model of the ladies collection. The design of the classic P'8478 has remained unchanged since 1978, and now sizes M and S are also available, therefore favoring lady customers.

With a total of four sizes with four colour versions each, the P’8478 uses ultralight titanium, while the lens replacement mechanism adapts to different visual requirements and light conditions.

Porsche Design is starting a new line for men with two sporty sunglasses that are characterized by an extremely solid structure that is light at the same time, dubbed Honeycomb. The structure of honeycomb has been used for a long time in aerospace and automobile technology - exactly where the material has to have high strength as well as lightness.

The Honeycomb series comprises two product variations: the P’8527 with striking, angular traits: the P’8528, with a large and round shaped shield. The highlights of these products include the fact that the spectacles do not slip and the sides automatically adjust to the shape of the wearer's head.

According to Porsche Design, a further expansion of this new line with sunglasses and correction frames is planned for the second half of the year.

Moving on, the styling of the two brand new sunglasses, P’8516 and P’8517, is inspired by wind tunnel tests in automobile design. The material combination of high-quality titanium for the front and a high-tech plastic for the sides is new with both models. Highlights include the anti-reflection coating on the inside and extremely shatterproof lenses made of polycarbonate.

Finally, the P’8525 women sunglasses is available in four colour variations: olive-gold, Havana-matt-gold, red-gun and matt-black. The shield frame has a hidden stainless steel supporting edge and a top bar that is slightly sloped to the inside, which creates light reflections.
