Porsche introduced a new Cayman at the Los Angeles International Auto Show, with the coupe’s versions offering a 10 hp premium compared to the Boxster’s ones. However, it seems that Porsche may soon a rumor that’s been around four quite a while into reality, giving us a four-cylinder Cayman.
We are talking about a four-cylinder Cayman Turbo, a model that is expected to arrive in September 2013, at the Frankfurt International Motor Show, when the automotive producer is planning to celebrate 50 years of the 911.
The Cayman is believed to receive a 2.5-liter unit that will deliver about 350 hp and a torque of around 500 Nm (369 lb-ft). Thus, the model won’t be an entry level one, but rather one that offers performance with considerably increased efficiency. What about the driving pleasure that comes with a naturally-aspirated engine? We’ll have to see about that...
