Porsche Cayman GT4 Plays with Three Megane RS Hot Hatches while Lapping the Nurburgring

The Renault drivers were the kind of ‘Ring Wolves we’ve talked about in the past. These people know the Nordschleife as the back of their hands and the same can be said when it comes to them manhandling their hot hatches. In fact, you can see them practicing in the second video below.

As a result, nothing keeps them from completing laps in the 8-minute magical time the Megane RS is capable of (actually, in certain configurations, the Renault can go below that mark).

These three front-wheel-drive machines fly around the ‘Ring as if they were part of a hot hatch train, but they also turn to one of their favorite motivational factors - hunting slower drivers in faster cars.

On this occasion, the game is somehow reversed, as their prey decided to follow them. We are talking about a Porsche Cayman GT4. This Zuffenhausen machine is capable of lapping the Green Hell in 7:40, but taking it to the limit is not as facile as the same operation performed inside the Megane.

As it happens on many occasions, the driver of the sportscar decides to keep things at nine out of ten and run together with the Megane RS group. This way, the fun is still guaranteed, but the chances of an encounter with the protection element on the side of the track are still low.

The four-vehicle convoy did encounter an accident in the Brünnchen section, but the crash was a minor one, so they only had to slow down for a short while.

The Megane camera car is a Nurburgring veteran, both in terms of the actual track lapping and filming using its two cameras, so the clip below allows us to get a good taste of the action.
